Sleep deprived...
I have a new admiration for those parents out there who update their blogs regularly. I'm lucky if I can get to work even remotely on time.
A lot has happened since I last blogged. I returned to work. It's killing me to be away from Evan so much of the day, but I know that's how it has to be. Although, last week, I was out with something like the flu. The Doctor said I didn't have the flu, but a 'flu-like syndrome.' Whatever that is. I still felt like crap.
Let's see... we've had all kinds of visitors since I last wrote. Stacey came to visit... which was AWESOME! It was too short, but we had a great time, just hanging out and staring at Evan. The next weekend, my parents came to visit. Also a great time. I love watching them with Evan. I only wish they were closer so it could be more frequently.
Last week, Evan had his two month visit, which meant his two month set of shots. It... was... horrible. He cried VERY loudly, but really, he was a little trouper. He was just a little cranky after that, but otherwise, he did great. I think it was harder on Robin & I than it was on him.
So, here it is, 6:45am on a Monday. I've been up since 4:30. Evan just laid back down with his Daddy, and I have to get ready for work. Did I mention I've had a headache since last Monday?
I'm not being sarcastic when I say I'm loving being a Mom. It is truly the biggest joy in the world to look at our little boy and love him more than I could have possibly imagined... I just can't wait for the day when we ALL get to sleep through the night and not the evening. It's coming... I just know it!

Evan is definitely not going to be short on people who love him. :) I'll keep praying for your sleep amounts to increase and for whatever sleep you DO get to be more restful!
ReplyDeleteSleeping through the night is such a wonderful thing - I hope Evan learns how that works soon. Even after Jadon started sleeping through the night, I didn't sleep well - I was so used to getting up every few hours, it took me a while to get back to sleeping through the night. :)
